Our Goals

Having covered seven decades of strenuous journey (1949), S.M. College, Bhagalpur has emerged as one of the best colleges of the country, imparting quality and value based education to the girls, mostly coming from semi-urban or rural areas of Bihar, Bengal, Jharkhand and even neighboring border country- Nepal. By adding feather after feather of success to the Higher Education field, S.M. College, Bhagalpur has contributed immensely to its mission of human resource development and lit the candle of literacy, self-sufficiency and sense of self dignity among women of this region. Having secured B+ grade from the National Accreditation Council Bangalore, and highly prestigious honour of the “College of Excellence” by the HRD Ministry, Government of Bihar, this college has further put forward its claim to secure the “College of Excellence” ( at the national level ) to be accorded by the UGC and HRD Ministry, Govt. of India. It is seriously vying for “Grade A” from the NAAV Accreditation Bangalore this year. Its primary goal is to join the hierarchy of the most successful colleges with most sophisticated infrastructure and laboratories in the country and distinguish itself for high standard of teaching and personality development schemes. We aspire and plan open abounding job opportunities for our students and prepare them to face multitude of challenges of life courageously and keep striding promisingly on the path of life.
