Our students participate quite often in the NSS, NCC and sports (Indoor/Outdoor). The students are involved in execution tour, tree plantation, cleaning drive, Adult education, flood relief etc.

STRENGTH:
This subject is highly popular among the student of Biology. The highest scorer among the student applies for the admission in the department. Every year the student for botany compete for medical, paramedical and other branches related to Para medical etc. Fortunately the Botany department has no. of students who are doctors , physiotherapist, radiologist many of them are good entrepreneurs.
WEAKNESSES:
Our department has scarcity of teaching as well as non teaching staff. We need more no. of rooms for smooth running of classes. we need some equipments of some recent technology.
OPPORTUNITIES:
The subject is very popular among the student because the students have the opportunity to get admitted in applied bio science, medical entrance and various paramedical courses. After graduation they can keep this subject as optional paper for I.A.S banking service and other competitive examination.
CHALLENGES:
Remedial classes and courses for applied biology must be taught so that students can get jobs.
FUTURE PLAN:
The department is fortunate to have P.G Programmes in it. We will prepare a good lab with modern equipments to the research will run on current issues of the social problem.
